Meet Jud Lester, star agent with CRYPT, the Covert Response Youth Paranormal Team
When a crime is committed and the police are at a loss, CRYPT is called in to figure out whether something paranormal is at work. Jud is their star agent.
Jud, unwillingly paired with Bex, has just landed his biggest case yet… there are atrocities in London, the like of which not even the police have seen before. And there are no explanations, no evidence and no suspects. The only think that links the attacks is the fact that survivors all claim to have seen ghosts – 17th century highwaymen to be exact.
The Gallows Curse is a fantastic blend of teenage spies, horror and the paranormal for fans of Cherub, Young Bond and Darren Shan. Click here to purchase The Gallows Curse on Amazon.
Testimonials for The Gallows Curse:
‘This book has to be the goriest, scariest book I’ve read this year. It was gruesome, grotesque and barbaric – and I LOVED every minute of it.’
‘Fast-paced, gory, gruesome and smart, this first CRYPT novel is high action from start to finish.’
‘The Gallows Curse is an impressive debut from Andrew Hammond. This is sure to be a big hit with horror fans of all ages and I’m already looking forward to the sequel.’
‘We’re coming. The martyrs are awakening. Spirits are gathering. This will be our time…’
Strange shapes are taking form in London and York, emerging from the shadows, terrifying the residents. And who is the man who lies in a darkened bedroom listening to a voice that seems to speak from the darkness itself?’
Jud and Bex are dispatched to the medieval city of York. And the horrors they find there will rock the very foundations of democracy. But what is the link? Why are the same ghosts now appearing in London? And who is ‘The Master’?
Another gripping case for the CRYPT – and a race against time.
CRYPT Book 3: Mask of Death
A figure in a white mask swoops down a deserted hospital corridor towards a quarantined patient. Covered in black sores, the man can’t be saved by modern medicine. But then, the masked figure is not a modern doctor…
CRYPT Book 4: Blood Eagle Tortures
An ancient treasure trove off the coast of England. A lone diver, searching for riches. A horror unleashed. Once disturbed, the treasure’s protectors are out to enact terrifying revenge…
CRYPT Book 5: Guardians’ Reckoning is out in September 2014.
‘Andrew had a superb rapport with the pupils, taking time to speak to as many as possible. The Library was buzzing over the lunch break and everyone felt that Andrew had sprinkled his own brand of stardust (or should I say energy) over Prep School.’ Head of Library, Bromsgrove School, Autumn 2014

‘An inspiring INSET which got all of the teachers talking and enthused by creativity in the classroom. Andrew was an excellent motivational speaker and we are looking forward to welcoming him back in January.‘ Deputy Head (Academic), Edge Grove School, Sept 2014
‘Thank you to Andrew Hammond for a fascinating insight into Thinking Skills & philosophy in the classroom. Recommended!’ Headmaster Adcote School, Sept 2014
‘Andrew recently attended our summer INSET training and delivered a very inspiring and thought provoking session on teaching and learning. Many of our teachers stated that is was one of the best insets they had ever attended. The style of the presentation was full of energy and conviction and the proof of success for us is that our teachers have been inspired to try new ideas, techniques and practices from day one of the new term. I would highly recommend Andrew, he is very engaging, not afraid to challenge and offers innovative ideas that will ultimately enrich the educational experience for children.’ Proprietor, Finborough School, Suffolk, Sept 2014
